In your answer, explore the scientific evidence behind climate change, its causes, potential consequences, and proposed mitigation strategies. Additionally, critically evaluate the role of scientific research, policy-making, and individual actions in addressing this pressing global challenge."

  • Look for instruction words
  • What are the key concepts
  • What has to be included
  • Read the marking guide, as this is where you should focus your response.

Gather research

  • Read the recommended texts and make notes based on the requirements of the essay question. Refresh note-taking from texts [linkto: Reading the prescribed texts]  
  • Keep a record of the bibliographical details and use the recommended referencing style.

Make a plan

  • Introduction
  • The body of the assignment - concepts/ideas to include one concept per paragraph
  • Discussion of the concepts
  • Conclusion

Writing

  • Block out time in your calendar to write and start your first draft.

Revise your work

  • Leave time to revise your work and edit
  • Check for spelling and grammar errors
  • Submit your assignment.
